For Sonnet

In my dream I sway

I sway to the rhythm of the sea

And the waves beckon me

Wake up wake up momma gently calls 

Swaying me in her arms to wake

I jump jump out of bed

I sashay to the bathroom

And skip skip to breakfast.

All done, I twirl twirl to the sink

To put my dishes away

Momma turns up the radio

And we jump and sway sway to the beat

of the music go dum dum dum

and thump thump thump

And the more we jump jump jump

And just like that momma sways and sways

and I sway and sashay on throughout my day  

Until night falls

And my eyes start closing, my arms fall to my side

Momma helps me with my bath

and all the water whirls and whirls around

It's night time Momma whispers

She reads one more book, then picks me up and rocks and rocks me in her arms

And her body slows down to a sway, sway, sway.

Carrying me away away to my river of dreams
